Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,500 employees and an annual output of approx. 250,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer. To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the inside sales and warehouse teams and their associated workflow processes to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and meet sales and business objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Branch Manager has direct supervisory responsibility for the Inside Sales Manager and the Warehouse Manager positions at their assigned branch office and indirect supervisory responsibility for branch sales, general administrative, and warehouse employees.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • ​​Ensures the promotion and enforcement of safety regulations, processes, and policies to maintain a safe working environment for all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in all communications and interactions with all internal and external colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Responsible for establishing and leading a team in the achievement branch goals for sales and profitability.
  • Responsible for overall profit and loss results for the region.
  • Prepares an annual sales forecast for the region as well as an expense forecast including capital expenditures on an annual basis.
  • Plans and maintains an inventory level sufficient to reach the sales goals for the region. This is accomplished using our in house inventory management system to ensure a balance of inventory while minimizing overstock positions.
  • Ensures coordination with suppliers including the mill to meet customer delivery needs.
  • Maintains and grows customer relationships through customer visits and project planning.
  • Creates and maintains a culture that responds quickly to resolve customer issues.
  • Manages key performance indicators with the goal of driving the continuous improvement of processes in all areas of the branch.
  • Provides clear expectations on metrics and goals to all branch employees. Manages employee performance; trains, coaches, and mentors branch employees, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Optimizes staffing levels in the branch.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field or direct experience in a like role is required.
  • At least 7 years in a Sales Management role, preferably in the Metals Industry, is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The ability to travel both domestically and internationally is required.
