Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,700 employees and an annual output of approx. 250,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer. To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.
Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating the activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments as well as preparing items for shipment to ensure on time delivery by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinates movement of material in and out of the warehouse and Shipping to other departments.
- Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded boxcars and truck doors.
- Compile records of unfilled orders.
- Negotiate rates to receive best pricing available
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
- Communicate to CSR and customers on shipping data
- Follow all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed. Keep records organized and maintain shipping logs.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, scanners).
- Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to ITAR & EAR regulations.
